Preferred Family Healthcare Receives Three-Year CARF Accreditation
In October, twenty-nine surveyors spanned Preferred Family Healthcare's network of sites throughout five states to review programs, services and facilities to ensure adherence to established standards. On Dec. 6, PFH was notified that the organization is officially accredited for a wide array of services through December 31, 2020. According to Brian J. Boon, Ph.D. and President/CEO of CARF International, "This achievement is an indication of your organization's dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of conformance to standards." Some PFH programs, such as community services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Workforce services, older foster youth services, and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) are certified or approved by other entities. However, the vast majority of PFH's services are surveyed by CARF every three years.
